Velayudham 2011 is a masala action drama film South Indian Tamil written and directed by M. Raja. It stars Vijay in the title role, alongside Genelia D'Souza, Hansika Motwani, Abhimanyu Singh and Saranya Mohan.
A young journalist Bharathi (Genelia D'Souza), along with two of her friends, to investigate a series of terrorist attacks, as women have taken trafficking in Chennai and even illegal activities. When they are video recording of illegal activities happening in an isolated house one night by a group of thugs captured, they are trying to flee from them. While Bharathi's friends are killed, manages Bharathi despite being stabbed by one of the bats to escape. But after the attack on Bharathi and her friends, the car exploded, "bat due to a small mishap when a match gasoline falls packets stored in the vehicle, kill all bats.
